AQUAMARINE ADMIRER & COLLECTOR

I have always loved colored gemstones but some of them are more mesmerizing than others.  One of the most beautiful blue gemstones out there is the amazing light greenish-blue or just light blue aquamarine gemstone. There are so many lovers of the color blue, I know that I am not the only one that is a collector of Aquamarine!

Many people don't know that Aquamarine is what I call the sister gemstone to Emerald and Morganite as they are all of the Beryl variety. When a Beryl is blue, we call it an Aquamarine.  When the Beryl is green, we call it an Emerald and when it is pink or peach, we call it Morganite!

Some of the most prized Aquamarine come from Brazil and this is where the gemstones at Five Star Jewelry were mined.  We have the simple oval and round cut to some larger emerald and radiant cut that are set in rings, earrings, and pendants.

At one time, only the purest clarity Aquamarines were considered desirable but now we are seeing that people appreciate the uniqueness of an Aquamarine with their special inclusions.  An example of this is a pendant that we have at this time that has an emerald cut Aquamarine that is set in a simple bezel setting constructed of 18 karat yellow gold that has three rough cut diamonds set above it in a bezel.  This amazing Aquamarine has brought attention to almost everyone that has walked in the door in the last couple of weeks.  I know it won't be long before someone who is like me, an admirer and colllector of fine gems, walks in the door and provides this extraordinary Beryl its home!
